Blossoms have been nominated for their first ever BRIT Award.
The Stockport five piece have been shortlisted in the Best British Breakthrough Act category.
The nomination comes after a phenomenal year for the band , whose self titled debut album shot straight to the top of the charts when it was released last summer.
Since forming in 2013, their meteoric rise to success has seen them perform at festivals all over the country, support the Stone Roses at the Etihad and even inspire the creation a one-off beer which was served at the pub which gave them their name.
Members Tom Ogden, Charlie Salt, Josh Dewhurst, Joe Donovan and Myles Kellock also performed a sold out homecoming gig at Stockport Plaza to mark the exact moment their album was released, at midnight.
The lads are up against Anne-Marie, Rag'N'Bone Man, Skepta and Stormzy for the award, which is open to a public vote.
Voting opens soon at brits.co.uk/nominees .
The awards will be held on February 22.
